This short video, taken on on Friday 4 January 2013 in the streets of Mossul, shows the Iraqi army pursuing Iraqi demonstrators and opening fire on them.

GICJ has sent a communication to the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and to relevant UN Special Procedures requesting them to take all necessary measures, in accordance with their mandates, to remind the Iraqi authorities of their duty to protect and guarantee the rights of the Iraqi people to demonstrate peacefully and associate freely.
