Delivered by Saja Misherqi / GICJ

Israeli occupation policies are getting more violent every day. One particularly concerning crime are extrajudicial executions by Israeli soldiers. Saja recalled that despite its prohibition by international law, this practice remains prevalent. It is estimated that in the past two years, more than 18 Palestinians were executed without a legal trial.

In addition, she mentioned the lawless killing of Journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh and settler violence against Palestinians. For instance, Ali Harb was stabbed to death by a settler and encountered judicial repercussions.

On behalf of Ma’onah and Geneva International Centre for Justice (GICJ), Saja called on the international community to intervene immediately to prevent all forms of violence by Israeli soldiers and settlers against Palestinians.
